Four years ago, we were searching for our first house and we found our home in this quiet lane covered with tall expansive trees in Central District, Seattle. It was love at first sight; we still talk about how lucky we were to get it. The house had all the things we wanted most on our wish list: a gas stove in the kitchen, lots of storage, a laundry room, a master suite. But it also had nearly everything we hoped for- big windows (for bright light) all around, a patio and roof top, a rain shower, heated floors in the master bath, a walk-in closet and it also came with small garden in the front. So many memories are tied up in this home. From family members celebrating festivals at our house to numerous impromptu dinner parties and game nights with our friends. We had many wonderful barbeque parties out on the rooftop- there’s room for a crowd. Laughter and good food were enjoyed with spectacular views of Mount Rainer on warm summer evenings. You will see pretty pink, yellow and red roses blooming in the front garden and a fragrant lavender by the back-kitchen door. The next-door neighbors are all such good people. We’ve had many great conversations on the front steps. Aside from our house, we are going to miss the neighborhood. We are close to some of fabulous restaurants and beer gardens (be sure to try out pizza at Central Pizza). Our favorite grocery store PCC is just a mile away.
