Bridging Tech is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity serving kids in various cities throughout the US. I came across them watching the news one night and was moved by their efforts to put basic technology into the hands of marginalized kids who don’t have access to what you and I would describe as basic technology. I also noticed that they haven’t done much in Seattle even though we are one of the most tech (and socially) progressive areas. We have massively disfranchised socially-economic groups here while we also have a large population of people who have to frequently update their technology (and not knowing what to do with our old laptops and tablets). I reached out to the brilliant brains behind Bridging Tech to ask how I may support their efforts and how to support our marginalized kids here. I’m thankful for Bridging Tech’s selfless ambitions and for all of you who donate to their mission.

Noiya is Seattle-based electro-rock duo, David James and Mia Faye, who released their first EP Para(ll)els only days before our Shelter-In-Place. 2020 wasn’t their year - it wasn’t anyone’s year, but 2021 will be theirs! They are inspired by some of my favorite artists, Phantogram, Portishead, and Radiohead. I usually listen to lo-fi and trip-hop as background music while working, but when I first heard, “Empire”, I was overwhelmed by the energy and oomph of this track. Also welcoming in my life “Head Talks”, and its Massive Attack Tear Drop-like beats, allowed me to finally forgive and forget that one ex who stole my Mezzanine vinyl.

I came across a couple of Cory’s acts right after our Shelter-In-Place and was like, this dude’s going to get me through this crappy year and I need to share these laughs with my clients! I reached out to his company and after they didn’t respond, I social stalked him until I found a way reached out to him directly. My clients know I’m both resourceful and persistent! He’s competed in international comedy events, reached #2 on Billboard charts, has opened for comedy giants, headlined on his own all over the country, and producer of Everett Comedy Night.
Plus, some of you might also know him as your kid’s teacher:)

Clean comedy is insanely difficult to master and even more difficult is doing it without an audience! It comes pretty easy for Andrew because he’s just someone who you can easily connect with. He’s able to see and say what’s funny in our everyday lives through his storytelling, even virtually aired. Although he’s headlined and appeared with comedy giants all over North America and Europe, he’s what you expect a Pacific Northwesterner to be - Down to Earth and knows how to laugh at life.

Award-winning socially distanced music series that streams on Facebook and YouTube. The series’ creators took on this passion project to make sure live music got to the masses on a regular basis. Watching this series from early on, I loved how the creators invite artists from all genres. I also love how they always connected the audience with the artists on a deeper and personal level. The creators do a great job of bringing together the viewers, artists, and of course, the production staff to make it feel like an intimate gathering - To make it feel like we are all still very connected even in times of COVID. Subscribe to both their Facebook and YouTube for weekly local artists live streaming from the Fremont Abbey!

I’m a Seattle-Bellevue Real Estate agent who focuses his work and what little personal time I have on serving and helping others. I feel an incredible sense of luck and gratitude for all those who I’ve fortunately been able to include in my personal journey from my origins to where I’m at today. Because of all of your support and work referrals, I have a constant drive to help others through my real estate work, charity work, or volunteer work. This is my 5th somewhat annual charity event I’ve organized and hosted. I usually use these events as an opportunity to catch up with friends including past clients, but this year, we’ll be doing it online! Follow me on social and let’s meet again in person next year or hopefully sooner!

How to Donate
Pledge
Scroll down and fill out the brief information form below before, during, or even after the show! The highest needs are for: Chromebooks, Laptops with Intel i5 and above/or equivalent, and MacBook 2014 or later.Pick up or Drop Off
I’ll make arrangements and personally pick up the tech (within the Seattle region- if you live outside of the area, but still want to help, please reach out to learn how you can help too)! I’ll be fully masked and you can leave it on your doorstep or lobby. I have donation receipts but can send those to you for e-signing. I’d love to see you and thank you for your donation, but for safety or your busy schedule, I totally understand if you just want to leave it somewhere! I’ll also try to schedule a time/date at my Compass Real Estate office in the Bravern in Bellevue where I can collect the tech and validate your Bravern Parking pass. After Donation: Refurbishing, distribution
Your laptop and tablets will be sent to a refurbishing company in Southern California to clear and prepare your computers. The donation will then be sent back to Seattle to go to local shelters and other organizations that will get your donated tech into the hands of marginalized kids in need of this basic need.

Like & follow me on social, to look out for my 6th annual charity event next year
Don’t have time or anything to donate? Still check out this event, share it, and like me on social and look out for next year’s event...that hopefully won’t be during a pandemic! Let me know if you have any suggestions for next year’s venue, music, them, and charity as well! We’ve had great times on the Virginia V cruise ship as well as Sole Repair, Chateau St. Michelle and hoping for other unique ideas!
Do good, reach out to someone, be considerate
Reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and check in on them. There are a lot of people who are isolated and just need your friendly hello. Be considerate of those who might not be as healthy or comfortable as you in our current times.
